LA’s 2016 Karaka Draft Continues To Excel

Following in the big footsteps of the stakeswinning colt Addictive Nature, another member of LA’s 2016 Karaka Premier draft showing promise is the filly Tigeen (O’Reilly-Knocknacrea by Green Desert) an impressive debut winner in Victoria on Monday.

Trained by Matt Cumani at Ballarat, the three-year-old filly, who was purchased by Cumani and Phil Cataldo for $220,000, ran faster time over 1400m than the two other races on the same card for more tightly assessed horses, and as a half sister to Redeem The Dream (Nadeem-Knocknacrea by Green Desert) who was stakesplaced over 2100m as a three-year-old last season, connections can justifiably feel a little excited about her potential as her career unfolds, particularly as she gets over more ground.

Meanwhile Nadeem’s week which had started so well with three Australian winners last weekend wrapped up with his stakesplaced gelding Perfect Harmonee (Nadeem-Harmony by Zabeel) winning at Woodville on Thursday followed the next day by Still The Same’s (Nadeem- Oh Eight Hundred by Diatribe) success in Queensland.
