Sense of Timing as Nadeem 4YO Remains Unbeaten

LA bred 4YO Princeton Spirit (Nadeem-Ivy Hall by Towkay), despite travelling wide for a significant portion of the 1200m event, scored another strong win in Victoria this week to remain unbeaten in two starts for trainer Mick Kent, and in doing so focused attention on his Per Incanto half brother in the upcoming Ready To Run Sale.

Bred on the potent cross of Redoute’s Choice over Last Tycoon, the powerfully made Nadeem gelding is quickly looking like an extremely worthwhile investment on his $10,000 purchase from LA’s 2014 National Weanling Sale draft by Phil Cataldo.

Princeton Spirit’s dam Ivy Hall was to the fore again during the week when her three-year-old filly Ivy’s Dream (Showcasing-Ivy Hall by Towkay) ran second at Taupo at her second start. Ivy Hall’s third foal is a Per Incanto colt who sells for LA from the Kilgravin Lodge draft at November’s Ready To Run Sale as LOT 169.

To cap another strong week across Australasia for Nadeem, his former Wanganui Guineas runner-up Perfect Harmonee (Nadeem-Harmony by Zabeel) won his third race from his last four starts when successful over 1340m at Wanganui on Thursday, while the LA bred three-year-old Kim’s Tarzan (Nadeem-Grable by Pins) made a winning Australian debut at the Gold Coast last Saturday.

Meanwhile Per Incanto filly Serenity (Per Incanto-Wait A Minute by Centaine) finished strongly to win at just her second raceday start at Taupo on Friday. Per Incanto’s only other runner at Taupo, Santa Monica (Per Incanto-Monarch by Volksraad) ran second over 1000m.

Serenity’s performance was particularly encouraging for her breeder Angela Irving, who together with LA will offer a cracking Per Incanto three-quarter brother at the Ready To Run Sale. The colt who is LOT 399 and selling under the Riversley Park banner, also happens to be a full sister to last seasons stakesplaced filly Its Time For Magic (Per Incanto-Tick Tock Time by Savabeel).
