Progeny from his best books of mares are still to hit the track. His emergence has seen the quality of mares increase significantly over the last two seasons culminating in a book last season that included black type mares such as Silk Spur, Heureka, Wake Up Susie, Mandate to name a few.

That rare ability to upgrade his mares. Take for example Group One winner Special Mission, the eleventh foal of her dam (by Khozaam) whose best performed progeny until Special Mission was a winner in the depths of the South Island.

Nicks and crosses. He has clicked exceptionally well with mares carrying the blood of Fairway, mainly through his son Fair Trial. This blood is most commonly found in NZ now through descendants of Vain with such stallions including Justice Prevails and Truly Vain. Other sires carrying this line include Danske, Danroad, Starjo, Captain Rio, Westminister and Dance Floor.
