LA Supports A Sale On The Rise

Tuesday, 07 February 2017 21:08

After a successful Karaka sale series, LA’s focus shifts across the Tasman this week to the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale which gets underway on Saturday 11 February in Sydney.

The Inglis Classic has been one of the big movers of Australasian thoroughbred sales with the likes of last year’s G1 Blue Diamond Stakes victor Extreme Choice and dual G1 winning filly Yankee Rose ensuring its popularity with yearling buyers worldwide.

LA are once again delighted to offer a select Classic draft of four yearlings under the banner of Royston and Catriona Murphy’s Sledmere Stud.

Per Incanto has been popular at the last two Classic Sales and also with Australian buyers at Karaka last week. Our Per Incanto fillies look ideal types for the Classic market.

LOT 277 pictured right, hails from an international sprinting black-type family and it shows with the fillies’ powerful physique, particularly through the shoulder and hindquarter. LOT 482 is from a ¾ sister to an Australian 3YO stakes winner is a lovely precocious type, not overly heavy, just a natural early running type.

LOT 153, a Darci Brahma colt, also looks an early running type. Just the mares second foal, her first foal is recent NZ 2YO winner Hard Merchandize (Burgundy). LOT 525, one of only two lots by champion sire Savabeel in the Sale, is the complete package. A half brother to the multiple stakesplaced mare Waikawa, the strongly made colt’s full brother who sold from our 2015 Karaka Select draft, is unbeaten in two trials for Cambridge trainer Lauren Brennan. Both colts are offered on behalf of our valued client Christopher Grace.

Family, our families have done so much together in the industry and sociably, there's not too many industries today that allow you to do that.
