Monday, 06 February 2017 21:08

Our week at Karaka concluded with Little Avondale topping the vendor averages and Per Incanto the sire averages at the Festival Sale.

On the back of finishing third on the sire averages in the Select Sale, with 17 sold for an $80,118 average, Per Incanto’s three Festival Sale yearlings averaged $28,500 with Cambridge bloodstock agent Stuart Hale purchasing Per Incanto’s top priced yearling yesterday, our colt from the Rusty Spur mare Silk Spur, for $42,500 (pictured right).

Singapore’s Constance Hua outlasted a number of other respected judges to secure LA and Don Gordon’s filly by Nadeem from the Towkay mare Lady Beretta for $40,000.

And Per Incanto’s second runner in Hong Kong, Flying Godspell (Per Incanto-Godspell by Xaar) made Sunday evening even more satisfying, leading all the way to win at Sha Tin.
