Per Incanto In Top 3 Of Sires Premiership

Tuesday, 31 January 2017 21:03

Per Incanto strengthened his position in the top three of the NZ sires premiership for individual winners with the LA and Longridge Limited bred Shoot To Kill (Per Incanto-Cheesse by Green Desert) remaining unbeaten for leading strike rate trainer Terri Rae following an impressive performance at Riccarton over 1400m.

At Trentham, the LA, Don Gordon and Bryan Hutchinson bred 3YO Heisenberg (Nadeem-Nikki’s Bride by O’Reilly) appreciated the roomier track and step to 1600m to beat the older R65 horses, while from a NZ Oaks perspective the run of the maiden Shared Secrets (Nadeem-Eva Kelly by O’Reilly) for 4th in the G3 Desert Gold Sakes was one of the talking points. Last on the home turn in a slowly run race, the Mark Oulaghan trained filly must have ran some sectional to storm home out wide.

If they were handing out an award for the most consistent open class sprinter in the country, the LA and G Gimblett bred Irish Moon(O’Reilly-Moonstrummer by Stravinsky) would certainly be amongst the nominations. The multiple stakesplaced gelding, raced by our good clients John and Anne     Gilbert and Wes van der Scheer was too quick for the open class sprint field at Pukekohe.

With an outstanding line-up of yearlings set to sell across the coming week, including 15 by leading stallion Per IncantoLA look forward to seeing you at Karaka.

Family, our families have done so much together in the industry and sociably, there's not too many industries today that allow you to do that.
