Aussie Trainers Wage Bidding Duel For Per Incanto Filly

Per Incanto comfortably leads the sire averages at the end of day two of the Select Sale after Victorian trainers John McArdle and Matt Cumani traded numerous bids for this filly from the Pins mare Grable (pictured right), with McArdle eventually securing the LA bred and consigned filly for $300,000, the leading top price with one day’s trading in the Select Sale still to be completed.
With his colt from Da Vinci Code fetching $170,000 on day one (currently the 5th best price of the Sale), Per Incanto’s average currently sits at $78,113, an outstanding result, especially given that this yearling crop were conceived at a $5,000 service fee.
The farm had six other Per Incanto yearlings enter the ring on day two with all finding buyers, at an average price of $56,250, capping an outstanding day for LA and Per Incanto.
LA are currently leading vendor by aggregate at the end of day two with 16 horses sold for $1,197,500.
The final day of the Select Sale gets underway on Friday at 11am.
